en.Wedoany.com Reported - Italian digital infrastructure company INWIT has deployed a multi-operator indoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) at the headquarters of Rome-based enterprise ACEA, enabling faster and more efficient mobile connectivity.

The DAS system consists of 4 remote units connected to approximately 180 micro-antennas, delivering a seamless indoor and outdoor connectivity experience across an 11-story building covering over 40,000 square meters. This infrastructure provides enhanced voice and data connectivity, supporting innovative services for process optimization, document management, and accelerated communications, thereby bolstering the company's digital transformation.
Additionally, INWIT has deployed another DAS system at the headquarters of ARETI, an ACEA subsidiary responsible for the management, maintenance, and development of the electricity distribution network. This system ensures stable and fast connectivity across an area exceeding 2,320 square meters. A third indoor digital infrastructure is under construction, specifically designed for the innovation center ACEA Autoparco, covering over 2,831 square meters.
Lucio Golinelli, Chief Smart Infrastructure Officer at INWIT, stated that the collaboration with ACEA confirms INWIT's core role as an enabler of digital transformation for major national industrial enterprises. Through DAS infrastructure, workspaces are improved and transformed into digital ecosystems, ensuring full-coverage connectivity and high performance in every environment. This project lays the foundation for a 360-degree customer experience, equipping ACEA with a robust infrastructure to support new smart building, IoT, and security services. Emiliano Sorrenti, Chief Digital, IT & Cybersecurity Officer at ACEA, noted that technological innovation is ACEA's strategic lever to enhance operational efficiency and service quality for citizens. Thanks to the partnership with INWIT, the headquarters now benefits from stronger, more reliable connectivity. This initiative, involving the ARETI headquarters and the innovation center, strengthens ACEA's digital transformation journey. Having advanced infrastructure means more interconnected and efficient workspaces, ready to meet future challenges.
