Dr. Al-Zamel stated that under the agreement, both parties will explore cooperation in several key areas. Mr. Dai emphasized that joint efforts will encourage technological innovation, support the development of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, while simultaneously fostering local digital capacity building, talent cultivation, and digital content creation.
As part of the MoU's implementation, both parties will conduct joint activities, including expert exchanges, technical discussions, and participation in industry platforms and seminars. The agreement also emphasizes coordination within international frameworks, particularly cooperation under the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Huawei has been operating in Kuwait since 2005, establishing its market position through partnerships with key local entities. In 2015, Huawei formally transitioned into a wholly-owned corporate entity, further expanding its commitment to accelerate Kuwait's digital vision and solidify the country's status as a leading digital economy.
