This area release is the result of geological studies conducted by Ingemmet's Directorate of Mineral Resources and Energy, aimed at generating reliable technical information on Peru's mineral potential. This process enables investors to access geoscientific information, which is used to guide exploration, reduce decision-making uncertainty, and enhance transparency in the mining concession granting process.

Based on geological assessments carried out by Ingemmet, exploration areas with favorable geological evidence have been identified. These areas are part of the 31 ANAPs and will be offered in the next free declaration event scheduled for August 3, 2026. These areas total approximately 289,100 hectares, with some showing mineralization signs primarily related to gold and copper, in addition to iron, silver, and molybdenum, providing new opportunities for mining activities, especially for small-scale mining enterprises.

The Apurímac region concentrates one of the main opportunity focuses. The Suparaura, Chalhuanca, Huyahuya, and Quehuinche areas show evidence primarily related to copper, with associated iron, silver, and gold.

In the Caravelí province of the Arequipa region, areas belonging to the ANAP Chaparra constitute an important gold mineralization belt. Blocks 5 South and 6 show small-scale mining potential related to gold, while Blocks 5 East and 5 West show favorable geological conditions supporting future exploration.

In the Moquegua region, ANAP Zona 1 Bloque 1 covers approximately 21,000 hectares, with copper anomalies and exploration prospects for small-scale mining. Similarly, ANAP Calvayuque, located between the La Libertad and Cajamarca regions, shows potential for gold and molybdenum.

Ingemmet's Executive Chairman, Ing. Paolo Andrés Alzamora, stated that the purpose of releasing these areas is to improve the predictability and transparency of the mining concession granting process. The geological information generated by Ingemmet helps direct investments to areas with better prospects, reduce exploration risks, and optimize decision-making from the early stages of exploration.

This technical information is accessible through the GEOCATMIN platform, allowing investors, companies, and the public to access relevant geological studies, thereby promoting evidence-based decision-making and contributing to the sustainable use of the country's mineral resources.
