en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Australian state of New South Wales approved the $1 billion Burrah Park industrial estate project this week. Co-owned by UniSuper and IFM Investors, it is the largest industrial park approved to date within the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, expected to create over 6,300 ongoing jobs in freight, logistics, advanced manufacturing, and high-tech sectors upon full completion by 2032.

The concept proposal for the entire Burrah Park estate has been approved. Phase one will involve constructing three logistics centers and delivering major infrastructure upgrades such as the Elizabeth Drive upgrade and earthworks in stages to support future warehouse and logistics operations. Global logistics giant DHL Supply Chain (Australia) has already made an early commitment to establish a world-class 24/7 warehouse and distribution operations center on site. The estate's plan integrates sustainability, smart technology, and 26 hectares of dedicated parkland.

In the same week Burrah Park was approved, the delivery of Bradfield City—Australia's first new city in a century—reached a significant milestone. The second building in the town will house Australia's first commercial facility for advanced semiconductor packaging, located adjacent to the first Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility already operating in the Bradfield City Centre.

This 7,000-square-meter purpose-built facility, equipped with an ISO Class 5 cleanroom laboratory featuring advanced microscopy, electronics, taping, and dicing capabilities, will support breakthroughs in fields such as quantum computing, photonics, sensing, communications, and medical technology. Constructed by leading Australian builder Hansen Yuncken, the new building also includes a second advanced manufacturing hall to expand the capabilities of the initial Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility opened last year, helping businesses accelerate technology development, testing, and scaling. Additionally, it offers commercial office and collaboration spaces to support high-growth enterprises in establishing operations.

New South Wales Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully stated that these projects demonstrate the appeal of the Aerotropolis and Bradfield City as industrial hubs. IFM Investors Chief Investment and Development Officer (Real Estate) Will Walker noted that Burrah Park is designed to support Australia's future freight and logistics needs while contributing to long-term economic development and job creation in Western Sydney.
