en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Wirtgen Group showcased a range of equipment and technologies in the fields of material processing and road construction at the Hillhead 2026 exhibition in the UK, with a focus on five crushing and screening units from Kleemann and a battery-electric production system for road rehabilitation, which achieved zero CO2 emissions during on-site operations.

Wirtgen Group's machines and technologies attracted great interest from Hillhead 2026 visitors

The most eye-catching equipment on the stand was the Mobicat MC 110 EVO2 jaw crusher, which features high operational convenience, efficiency, and versatility. Another highlight of the exhibition area was the fully electric, on-site zero-emission asphalt recycling production system, consisting of the compact impact crusher Mobirex MR 100 NEOe and the screening plant Mobiscreen MSS 502 EVO.

For urban road rehabilitation scenarios, the Wirtgen Group exhibited a battery-electric road repair production system for the first time in the UK market, comprising the Wirtgen W 50 Re cold milling machine, the Vögele SUPER 1300-5e paver, and the Hamm HX 70e double drum roller, achieving zero CO2 emissions on site. The Benninghoven Multi Jet burner also became a focal point, as it is the world's first burner for asphalt mixing plants that can operate entirely on green hydrogen, enabling zero CO2 emissions in the aggregate drying and heating process.

The Wirtgen Group also presented two Hamm rollers targeting the rental market: the new 2.7-ton double drum roller HD 12 G VV and the multi-purpose compactor HC 70i VIO. In terms of digital solutions, the Wirtgen Group's specialist brands showcased systems such as Jobsite Intelligence and Smart Automation. Jobsite Intelligence improves decision-making on construction sites through reliable data, while Smart Automation enhances performance and precision through assistance and automation functions. Tools such as Smart Level Pro, Smart Pave, Smart Compact Pro, AutoPilot 2.0, and Spective Connect enable operators to achieve near-expert results, improving accuracy, reducing rework, optimizing material utilization, and enhancing construction quality.

Paul Holmes, Managing Director of Wirtgen Ltd., the UK subsidiary of the Wirtgen Group, stated: "Hillhead 2026 once again demonstrated the importance of close technical collaboration with our customers. The conversations during the exhibition showed that our integrated approach, based on a holistic view of the customer's production system, creates real added value in addressing industry challenges."
