Advanced driver assistance functions support Urban Navigation on Autopilot (Urban NOA), Highway Navigation on Autopilot (Highway NOA), Door-to-Door Navigation on Autopilot (D2D), and Automated Valet Parking (AVP), along with one-touch AI valet, one-touch parking, one-touch curb-side parking, one-touch escape, and one-touch trail tracking.

In terms of powertrain, the IM LS9 Hyper is powered by a 1.5T range-extender engine with a maximum power of 114kW, paired with a 66kWh ternary lithium battery pack featuring no-thermal-runaway safety technology. The highlight is SAIC's first mass-produced three-motor vector all-wheel-drive system, with a front motor layout and two rear motors. The front motor has a peak power of 160kW, while each rear motor delivers 195kW, resulting in a combined maximum output of 550kW and total torque of 730N·m. The 0-100km/h acceleration time is 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 220km/h. The CLTC combined pure electric range is 390km, with a combined range of 1460km. It supports an 800V ultra-fast charging platform, achieving a 10% to 80% charge in 16.5 minutes, adding 265km of range in 15 minutes. It also features a mobile power station function (up to 6kW external power supply) and a maintenance-free lithium battery low-voltage power supply system.

The IM LS9 Hyper features a full steer-by-wire system, including 4-way power-adjustable steering wheel, paired with a bidirectional 24-degree intelligent four-wheel steering system, achieving a minimum turning radius of 4.77 meters. The chassis adopts a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension, equipped with a large-stroke dual-chamber closed air suspension and electronically controlled dynamic damping adjustment system. It incorporates the Lizard Digital Chassis 3.0 system, supporting Crab Walk Mode 2.0, Comfort Anti-Seasickness Mode, Active Anti-Rollover 3.0, and Lizard Blowout Stability Control. It also features front four-piston integrated fixed calipers, an MK C2 steer-by-wire braking system (supporting single-wheel braking), and a new digital traction control system.

Key competitors for the IM LS9 Hyper include the Li Auto L9 and the AITO M9. The Li Auto L9 is positioned as a family flagship SUV, featuring a range-extender system with dual-motor all-wheel drive, air suspension, and CDC. The AITO M9 offers both range-extender and pure electric versions, equipped with Huawei's HarmonyOS cockpit and ADS 2.0 advanced intelligent driving system, with some versions featuring rear-wheel steering and air suspension. In comparison, the IM LS9 Hyper's three-motor and full steer-by-wire chassis technology provide differentiated characteristics within its class.

With the launch of the IM LS9 Hyper, the model lineup has been further expanded. Leveraging its three-motor vector all-wheel-drive system, full steer-by-wire technology, and Lizard Digital Chassis 3.0, the new model establishes a clear differentiated competitive edge in the high-end family SUV market, while the range-extender configuration also addresses long-distance travel range needs.
