Sweden's Statkraft Advances 600MW Wind Power Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 17, Norwegian energy company Statkraft advanced the construction of the Hästliden onshore wind power project in Sweden. The project plans to install 85 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of approximately 600MW and an expected annual power generation of about 2TWh.

Located in northern Sweden, the Hästliden wind power project will provide a stable supply of renewable energy to the local power system upon completion. Onshore wind projects typically involve multiple stages, including turbine foundation construction, road construction, collector line installation, substation construction, and grid connection, requiring coordination across land use, environmental protection, grid infrastructure, and equipment supply.

In recent years, Statkraft has been continuously expanding its new energy project portfolio in Europe, covering hydropower, wind power, solar energy, and energy storage. The advancement of the Hästliden wind power project will further strengthen the company's wind power asset portfolio in the Nordic market and provide new green electricity sources for regional industrial power consumption.

The subsequent focus of the wind power project will be on engineering design optimization, equipment procurement, construction organization, and grid connection preparation. With the growth of industrial electrification and new energy demand in the Nordic region, large-scale onshore wind power projects are becoming an important component of the regional power supply system. The actual construction pace of the project will still need to be determined based on construction conditions, supply chain arrangements, and grid connection plans.
