en.Wedoany.com Reported - CLARK Contracts has completed the transformation of a Category B listed office building in Glasgow city centre into modern student accommodation.

The refurbishment, commissioned by Union Property Development, is located at 250 St Vincent Street and is now known as Glasgow Citi View, providing 142 beds across 140 apartments, with room types including studios, duplex rooms, and accessible studios.
Each bedroom is an en-suite, featuring a private shower room, kitchenette, and dining area. The basement, ground, and first floors house operational and amenity areas, including a staffed reception, parcel room, student lounge, study and meeting rooms, gym, laundry, storage, and a bookable kitchen, dining, and games space.
The scope of works included internal demolition and alteration of the existing building, as well as external works, involving a full roof covering replacement, stone repairs, and drainage improvements.
Artwork created by Efomural is featured within the building's atrium as a highlight of the completed structure, with the installation designed to create a striking visual focal point and showcase the character of the refurbished building.

The project was delivered by CLARK Contracts alongside a multidisciplinary design team, including FaulknerBrowns, Paragon Construction Consultants, MS Construction Consultants, Bellrock Consulting, Apex Acoustics, Rybka, Narro Associates, and Jensen Hughes.
Raj Sehgal, Director at Union Property Development, said Glasgow Citi View represents a significant investment, bringing a vacant Category B listed building back into meaningful use. The design team has created a warm, modern space that students will enjoy living in, while respecting the original character of the building. Located close to the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University, it will serve as an excellent home for students during their time in Glasgow.
Gerry Cummins, Director at CLARK Contracts, added that the company is delighted to have completed the refurbishment of 250 St Vincent Street for Union Property Development, delivering high-quality, modern student accommodation in Glasgow city centre. The project further strengthens the company's student accommodation portfolio—having already delivered over 1,500 student beds in central Scotland in recent years—and demonstrates the team's capability to deliver high-quality refurbishment projects in a busy city-centre environment.
