en.Wedoany.com Reported - AkzoNobel's Aerospace Coatings division has completed a major phase of its €22 million expansion project at its Pamiers production site in France, aimed at boosting European capacity, improving workflow, and supporting the development of next-generation aerospace coatings.
The new warehouse adds over 2,000 square meters of storage space, including temperature-controlled units; the company has also built a new 638-square-meter waste management facility and modernized quality control and production areas. Four application booths, a dedicated chromate product booth, and eight laboratory workstations have increased quality control capacity by 166%.
New production equipment includes precision weighing systems, additional paint storage tanks, and an automatic bead mill dedicated to chromate-free coatings. The remaining construction and equipment installation are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
This expansion combines greater storage and quality control capabilities with dedicated equipment for chromate-free coatings, serving both manufacturing output and formulation development.
