en.Wedoany.com Reported - Bridgestone Americas released its new semi-slick track tire, the Potenza Race R, on August 17, 2026. The tire made its debut alongside the 2026 Lamborghini Revuelto SV (Super Veloce) at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in 2026, and is a track-focused tire version specifically developed for this V12 hybrid super sports car.

Bridgestone launches Potenza Race R track tire for the 2026 Lamborghini Revuelto SV

The Race R enhances track performance over the Potenza Race, featuring a motorsport-derived compound and a new tread pattern, with a focus on improving dry grip and handling. This high-grip tire warms up quickly and delivers consistent lap times from the first lap to the last, while also being approved for use on public roads.

As Lamborghini's official technical partner and exclusive tire supplier for all Lamborghini super sports cars, Bridgestone developed a complete tire lineup for the Revuelto SV, encompassing the Potenza Race R, the ultra-high-performance Potenza Sport, and the Blizzak LM005 winter tire. Among these, the Potenza Sport is designed for open-road scenarios, offering high-speed performance and steering precision, with an optional version equipped with Run Flat Technology (RFT). When tire pressure drops to 0 bar, RFT tires allow the vehicle to continue driving at speeds not exceeding 50 mph for up to 50 miles.[1] The Blizzak LM005 is developed for winter conditions. All tires in this lineup carry the Lamborghini marking, with front tire size 265/35 ZR20 (99Y) and rear tire size 345/30 ZR21 (111Y), and are developed and manufactured entirely in Italy.

The Revuelto SV is the fastest production model ever built at Automobili Lamborghini's Sant'Agata Bolognese factory, with a top speed exceeding 215 mph and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 2.4 seconds. Adrien Thormann, Bridgestone's Director of Original Equipment Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), stated that the Revuelto SV is the ideal model to showcase the Race R's performance; in 2023, Lamborghini selected Bridgestone as the exclusive tire partner for the Revuelto, and three years later, the Revuelto SV continues with Bridgestone as its sole tire partner. Alessandro Farmeschi, Revuelto Product Line Director at Automobili Lamborghini, stated that every detail of the Revuelto SV, from aerodynamics to power delivery to the bespoke tires fitted, has been optimized, and the two companies' collaboration in performance engineering underpins the car's performance.

The bespoke tire lineup was developed using Bridgestone's proprietary Virtual Tire Development (VTD) technology. Bridgestone states that this technology reduces raw material consumption and CO2 emissions by 60% during the development phase. Following the Fenomeno Roadster, the Revuelto SV is the second Bridgestone-Lamborghini collaboration project announced this year. Since their first collaboration on the Huracán STO in 2021, the two companies have successively partnered on models including the Revuelto, Temerario, and Fenomeno.

Bridgestone Americas is the U.S. subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, operating across the global tire and rubber sector, providing products and technologies for safe and sustainable mobility. Bridgestone Americas is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with more than 45,000 employees worldwide.
