Ingeteam completes inverter supply for 236 MVA solar PV projects in Australia

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nexwell Power has obtained the Administrative Authorization for Construction (AAC) to add a battery energy storage system to its Silverio photovoltaic plant in the province of Córdoba, Spain. The company, headquartered in the United Kingdom, is the investment platform of the U.S.-based Nexwell Group. The storage system will have a capacity exceeding 100 MWh and will become the first project in the company's portfolio of storage projects planned around its existing assets. Under the first phase, Nexwell Power will deploy a total of approximately 1 GWh of storage capacity. The company expects the Silverio project to be connected to the grid in the first half of 2027.

Danish company Teal has announced the creation of Teal Renovables, a new development company under the group that will focus on renewable energy projects, with an initial strategic focus on the Spanish market. Teal Renovables will concentrate on the early-stage development of renewable assets, leveraging Teal's experience in the energy industry and its energy transition-related businesses. Teal stated that Spain was chosen as the priority market due to the country's policy framework, growing demand for clean energy, and its targets to accelerate the deployment of renewable power generation.

Spanish technology company Ingeteam has completed the supply of 144 inverters for six large-scale solar PV projects in New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. The projects were developed and built by Metlen and are now all fully operational, with a combined capacity of 236 MVA. The portfolio of plants includes Corowa Solar Plant, Junee Solar Plant, Wagga Solar Plant, Wagga Stage 2, Wyalong Solar Farm, and Kingaroy Solar Plant, all of which are connected to the grid using Ingeteam's central inverter technology for PV applications. This technology is specifically designed for large-scale solar applications, delivering high efficiency while meeting grid connection requirements. Through its subsidiary in North Wollongong, Ingeteam has been operating in the Australian market for over a decade.
