ROG.e 2026 Energy Conference in Brazil to Open on September 21 with 650 Companies Exhibiting
en.Wedoany.com Reported - From September 21 to 24, ROG.e 2026, hosted by the Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP), will be held at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro. According to data released by IBP, this year's event is expected to attract approximately 75,000 participants, bring together 650 exhibiting companies, feature 13 international exhibition zones, and cover a total area of approximately 117,000 square meters, of which the exhibition area is approximately 22,000 square meters, a 60% increase compared with 2024.

The conference is scheduled to feature more than 600 hours of professional content, covering topics such as energy security, energy transition, natural gas, offshore oil and gas reserve replacement, the downstream industry, regulatory competitiveness, artificial intelligence, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), supply chains, and offshore facility decommissioning. The official opening ceremony is set for 9:45 a.m. on September 21, followed by special sessions on well technology, supply chains, multi-energy and decarbonization.
This year's event has confirmed the participation of heads and management from multiple international energy companies, including TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné, Shell CEO Wael Sawan, Galp CEO Maria João Carioca, TGS CEO Kristian Johansen, as well as executives from SBM Offshore, Equinor, PRIO and other companies. Petrobras President Magda Chambriard will attend the opening event.
In addition to the main forum, ROG.e 2026 will also feature 13 parallel events. Brazil's pre-salt oil management company PPSA will arrange 13 special presentations during the conference, covering Brazil's government entitlement oil and gas production, crude oil and natural gas sales, pre-salt development opportunities, production sharing contracts, and technological innovation. On the first day, September 21, the government crude oil asset portfolio and production forecasts will be presented, along with a special session on the Brazilian government's first natural gas auction.
A joint study by IBP and the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) estimates that the full-year preparation, hosting and follow-up activities of ROG.e 2026 will generate approximately BRL 593 million in economic activity in Rio de Janeiro and create more than 10,000 jobs. Accommodation, dining and transportation spending related to participants is estimated at approximately BRL 95 million.
