China Zhangxue Motorcycle's 500,000-unit full-chain motorcycle production base lands in Chongqing

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Zhangxue Motorcycle's full-chain production base with an annual output of 500,000 motorcycles has officially landed in the Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. The project covers a total land area of 186.5 mu and is planned to build a full-chain motorcycle production system covering complete vehicle manufacturing, self-developed engines, and related supporting processes, while reserving space for the R&D and mass production of new energy and intelligent motorcycle models. The project completed filing in Liangjiang New Area on June 9, under the project name "Chongqing Zhangxue Motorcycle Annual Output of 500,000 Motorcycles Construction Project."

The project will be planned as a whole according to standards that meet product iteration needs for more than 10 years into the future, with a production system that accommodates large-scale mass production, intelligent manufacturing, and high-end brand display. The base is designed by China Machinery International Engineering Co., Ltd. (CMIE), and the two parties signed a cooperation agreement in July, under which CMIE is responsible for the planning and design of the R&D and production base with an annual output of 500,000 motorcycles, and has set up a dedicated team to advance the construction of a modern motorcycle intelligent manufacturing park.

Zhangxue Motorcycle had previously been advancing production capacity expansion in Liangjiang New Area. In June, the company won the bid for Plot 001 in Block 05 of Unit J10 for 48.48 million yuan, with a land area of 64,640 square meters and a land use designated for motorcycle manufacturing. This plot serves as the first-phase construction land, mainly used for production line expansion and R&D offices. The company's original factory has a designed annual production capacity of approximately 20,000 units, with sales exceeding 25,000 units in 2025, and monthly output in June 2026 having exceeded 10,000 units.

In addition to complete vehicle assembly, the new base will also incorporate self-developed engine manufacturing into its production system. Zhangxue Motorcycle's existing product technology system covers a displacement range of 500cc to 820cc, and it has established independent R&D capabilities for multi-cylinder engines. The base plan also reserves space for new energy powertrains, intelligent control, and new model production to accommodate subsequent product platform expansion.

The Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone where the project is located is an important manufacturing and logistics hub in Chongqing. After the 500,000-unit base is completed, it will add large-scale complete vehicle manufacturing and engine production capacity, and form a supporting network with Chongqing's existing motorcycle parts, complete vehicle manufacturing, and export supply chains.
