en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 19, Qatar's Public Works Authority disclosed the award results of four road and infrastructure contracts, totaling approximately QAR 1.345 billion (approximately US$369.6 million). All four contracts were signed on October 1, including three road and municipal infrastructure construction contracts and one engineering design consultancy framework agreement, covering areas including North Wadi Banat, Al Shahaniya, and Umm Salal Ali, and were awarded to four engineering firms respectively.

Qatar Building Engineering Company (QBEC) was awarded the contract for roads and infrastructure in Zone 70, North Wadi Banat, valued at QAR 478.98 million, with procurement number PWA/GTC/003/2025. Qatar Trading & Contracting Group was awarded the contract for the remaining roads and infrastructure works of Al Shahaniya Phase 1, valued at QAR 457.41 million, corresponding to original contract number C2021/44, with procurement number PWA/GTC/017/2025.

ITAL Consult was awarded a nationwide roads and infrastructure design consultancy framework agreement valued at QAR 191.88 million, providing design consultancy services based on the Public Works Authority's subsequent specific project requirements.

This award covers both new road and infrastructure works and remaining construction tasks of existing municipal projects. Among them, the contracts related to Al Shahaniya and Umm Salal Ali are continuation arrangements for existing works, while the design consultancy framework is executed independently of the three construction contracts. On October 7, Qatar's Public Works Authority announced the re-award of remaining works for eight delayed road and infrastructure projects, involving approximately 6,360 residential plots and including the construction of road lighting, drainage networks, and sewage treatment supporting facilities.
