BYD Company's energy storage division recently announced that the cumulative global installations of its BatteryBox brand energy storage system for households and small commercial users have surpassed 1.5 million units.
Jiang Feng, Director of BYD Energy Storage's Residential Energy Storage Systems, stated: "BYD Energy Storage is transitioning from a battery system supplier to a comprehensive integrated solution partner for residential green energy." The company announced reaching the 1 million unit installation milestone in June 2024, meaning approximately 500,000 new units were added in the past year and a half. This milestone is based on the market expansion of its energy storage system products over the past decade.
While announcing the installation figures, BYD also outlined technical updates to its product line. In 2025, the company launched solutions that integrate batteries, inverters, applications, and cloud platforms. The new products utilize upgraded battery technology and introduced a modularly designed integrated energy storage system platform. The company stated that it will continue to support its global business development through localized services and channel partnerships in the future.
