Vertex Mining has reported an increase in gold production at its Reward mine located in the Lachlan Ford mineral belt of New South Wales. The production growth is primarily attributed to the expansion of underground mining operations and improvements in ore grades.
The company stated that it expects further improvements in the ore grade supplied to the gold gravity concentration plant in the future. Vertex also reviewed several operational advancements achieved in 2025, including the successful remote-controlled loading of ore from the 1438 North stope by a new remote loader.
According to industry media reports, the company equipped the loader with a remote control unit earlier this month to implement the long-hole mining method. The first batch of ore was shipped from the Reward mine in December. Other progress includes obtaining higher-grade ore material from the development face of the 1600 ore block in the Peace Star vein.
As of recently, Vertex's gold sales for the last quarter amounted to $656,708, and the company plans to complete the refining of two more batches of gravity concentrate by the end of 2025. Currently, the company has established multiple mining areas and underground production levels, with all five mining areas actively engaged in ore development or mining operations.
