Wedoany.com Report-Dec.29, Raimondi Middle East has successfully erected six flat-top tower cranes at the Aljada master community project in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The installation includes four MRT159 models and two T187 cranes. The T187 models represent the first deployment of Raimondi’s T Series cranes on a project in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.

The deployment occurred in the last quarter of 2025. This addition supports Raimondi Middle East’s ongoing expansion in the region, increasing its rental fleet to more than 200 cranes.

The cranes are contributing to construction work in the Central Business District of Aljada. The development, led by Arada and launched in 2017, spans approximately 2.2 square kilometers near University City. It includes plans for around 25,000 residential units, along with educational facilities, healthcare centers, green spaces, office areas, and leisure amenities. Key features include Madar, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, and the cultural venue Il Teatro by Tadao Ando.

Raimondi Middle East general manager Wael Hasan said: “Raimondi is a vital part of the construction works for Arada’s flagship megacity. Our longstanding partnership with the developer has been built on reliability, responsiveness, and consistent project delivery.”

The site is located next to another active area where multiple Raimondi flat-top cranes are already in operation, strengthening the company’s overall involvement in the project.

“Aljada is a fast-track project, and as with current and previous phases, seamless coordination during delivery, assembly, and installation was essential to ensure alignment with project schedule. This is why models with ease of installation and great versatility were chosen,” added Hasan.

The four MRT159 cranes, which arrived with pre-assembled components, ropes passed, and connections installed, operate freestanding at heights up to 51 meters. They feature jib lengths between 50 meters and 65 meters, with a maximum lifting capacity of eight tonnes and a 30kW hoist winch that achieves speeds of up to 136 meters per minute.

The two new T187 cranes, delivered brand new for this project, are equipped with Lumina crane cabins. They have jib lengths of 60 meters and 65 meters, with tower heights of 63 meters and 57 meters. Their tip load capacities are 2.59 tonnes and 2.09 tonnes, respectively, and they reach maximum lifting speeds of up to 115 meters per minute using a 30kW winch with a 510-meter drum capacity. The cranes’ maximum lifting capacity is 10 tonnes.

“Raimondi’s Middle East rental fleet now includes several T187 flat-tops. The T187 has excellent specifications in terms of lifting capabilities, speed, and configurations,” said Hasan.

He noted that the weight-optimized components simplify installation procedures on site.

According to Raimondi Middle East operations head Muath Bani-Issa, initial feedback on the T187 performance has shown no operational issues since installation.

He added: “Beyond its mechanical strength, the crane’s integrated ConCore system allows for ease of commissioning, while enabling us to remotely monitor performance and operations in real time.”

Five of the six cranes will be climbed to greater heights as construction advances, eventually reaching up to 85 meters. The equipment is scheduled to remain onsite for approximately 18 months to support the ongoing development of office buildings, commercial spaces, and mixed-use facilities.

This latest installation follows previous contributions, including eight flat-top tower cranes deployed at Aljada in July 2023, highlighting the continued collaboration between Raimondi Middle East and Arada on this major project.
