en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 12, 2026, UAE-based cargo airline SolitAir announced the launch of a new route connecting its Dubai World Central (DWC) hub with Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN). This marks a further expansion of the carrier's business in China, following the successful operation of routes to Hong Kong and Urumqi.

The inaugural flight transported VIP cargo, indicating that the route serves customers with high demands for customization, security, and timeliness. Tianjin, a northern Chinese port city with a population of 14 million, serves as the primary maritime and air gateway for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic zone, which contributed 8.5% of China's GDP in 2025. The Port of Tianjin handles over 23 million TEUs annually, while Tianjin Binhai International Airport provides air cargo connectivity for advanced manufacturing sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and high-value industrial equipment.

Hamdi Osman, Founder and CEO of SolitAir, stated that China remains one of the most important growth markets for global trade. Launching the Tianjin route provides direct access to the most dynamic manufacturing and logistics hub in northern China, while strengthening the $111 billion non-oil trade ties between China and the UAE.

The Tianjin route builds on SolitAir's existing routes to Hong Kong and Urumqi, and follows the carrier's recent entry into the European market with the inaugural flight to Sofia, Bulgaria. Since commencing operations in October 2024, SolitAir has expanded to 56 routes covering 33 countries, with a network including 18 cities in Africa, and continues to add destinations connecting Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

SolitAir currently operates a fleet of seven Boeing 737-800BCF freighters, each with a payload capacity of 20 tons, capable of transporting dangerous goods, pharmaceuticals, perishables, valuables, and oversized cargo. The airline plans to expand its fleet to 20 aircraft and operate from its 20,440-square-meter cargo hub at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai World Central (DWC).
