Wedoany.com Report on Mar 3rd, Pioneer Mining Company (ASX:PMM) has detected uranium oxide (U₃O₈) content as high as 4,257 ppm in the second phase of soil geochemical exploration at its Skull Creek Uranium Project in Colorado, USA, revealing new opportunities for uranium exploration. The Countryline prospect area in the western block returned 4,257 ppm U₃O₈, with other high-grade results including 1,462 ppm, 462 ppm, 392 ppm, and 289 ppm, indicating significant uranium mineralization potential.

The company stated that drill targets have been identified in the western block based on significant soil anomalies in the area that extend beyond the locations of rock fragments. The eastern block also shows potential, with the possibility of forming extensive and consistent soil anomalies in concealed terrain and the presence of sandstone-hosted uranium mineralization, further enhancing expectations for uranium exploration.

CEO Michael Bevan said, "The project has been strengthened by the return of grades exceeding 4,000 ppm and strong concealed soil anomalies. The combination of high-grade surface mineralization with extensive multi-element soil anomalies leads me to believe we may be advancing towards a larger concealed uranium system."

"The second phase was specifically designed to test the Sego sandstone area under shallow cover and determine whether uranium and related indicator elements could be detected beyond outcrop areas. The scale and consistency of the anomalies give me confidence that drilling has the potential to unlock a more significant sandstone-hosted uranium system at Skull Creek," Bevan added.

Pioneer Mining Company is a North American critical minerals exploration company advancing a portfolio of projects including tungsten, antimony, uranium, and lithium. This uranium exploration result is expected to provide new momentum for the company's uranium development efforts in Colorado.
