Wedoany.com Report on Mar 6th, Australian Critical Minerals (ASX: ACM) has partnered with SFP Drilling to initiate the first diamond drilling program at the Flint gold-silver project in northern Peru. SFP will mobilize to the site this month, with drilling expected to commence in late March 2026. The initial phase includes four drill holes totaling 1,850 meters, designed to test the northern cluster of high-sulfidation epithermal gold targets.
Through subsurface modeling analysis, the company has confirmed that the hydrothermal system extends over an area of approximately 4 kilometers. Australian Critical Minerals is currently preparing drill pads for the exploration activities, with all regulatory permits for the first phase already approved. Executive Chairman Dean de Largie noted that the company is transitioning from the "drill-ready" stage to the "actively drilling" stage.
"Our Phase I program will drill test the northern gold-silver target cluster, identified through integrated geochemistry, alteration mapping, and geophysical surveys," said de Largie. "The Flint project is situated within a significant epithermal metallogenic belt that hosts over ten major deposits with a combined gold resource exceeding 50 million ounces. The Flint project exhibits favorable geology and significant alteration features consistent with high-sulfidation systems in this highly prospective region."
Australian Critical Minerals is an exploration company with a portfolio of precious and base metal projects in Peru and Western Australia. This drilling campaign at the Flint project marks a new step in its mineral exploration endeavors in Peru.
