Wedoany.com Report on Mar 14th, Recently, Chinese photovoltaic company Jinko Solar officially signed a supply agreement for 105.68MW of high-efficiency Tiger Neo 3.0 modules with a key Japanese distribution partner. These modules will be fully deployed in Japan's residential and commercial & industrial distributed markets. As the champion of PV module shipments in Japan for seven consecutive years, Jinko Solar is once again strengthening its presence in the local market with the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules. Leveraging their exceptional low-light performance and a front-side efficiency of up to 24.8%, these modules will further enhance the power generation revenue and roof utilization rates for local distributed projects.Image related to Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 3.0 modules

Tiger Neo 3.0 Modules – Precisely Empowering Japan's Distributed Scenarios

The Japanese market is characterized by high latitude, low irradiance, scarce installation space, and frequent cloudy, low-light weather. Therefore, customers pay particular attention to power generation capacity per unit area and performance under low-light conditions. Building on the leading advantages of N-type TOPCon technology, the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules have become the performance benchmark for Japan's distributed market with the following two core features:

1. Exceptional Low-Light Performance, Significantly Increasing Generation During High-Price Periods

In typical rooftop scenarios, a module's low-light performance directly determines power generation efficiency and system revenue. Outdoor test data from Kagoshima, Japan, by TÜV Nord shows: during the low-light hours of 6-8 AM, TOPCon modules generated 5.28% more power per watt than N-type BC modules; from 4-5 PM, this advantage expanded to 9.68%. Considering that up to 90% of rooftops in Japan face low-light environments, this advantage is particularly valuable.

For power plant revenue, "generating more doesn't necessarily mean earning more" – peak generation at noon coincides with low electricity prices, while prices are higher during morning/evening peaks and on cloudy days. Thanks to the low leakage current characteristic of TOPCon technology, Tiger Neo 3.0 modules can maintain 95%–98% relative power output even under low irradiance of 200W/㎡. This effectively extends the power generation duration during high-price periods, significantly boosting project revenue.

2. Front-Side Efficiency Breaks 24.8%, Achieving Higher Installation Value on Limited Roofs

Residential and commercial & industrial roofs in Japan are generally limited in area, making power generation capacity per unit area a key selection criterion. The Tiger Neo 3.0 modules achieve a maximum front-side efficiency of 24.8% and a power output of up to 670W. This enables higher installed capacity and power generation within the same installation area, maximizing roof resource utilization. Simultaneously, the high-power characteristic reduces the number of modules required and associated BOS costs, delivering better economics for distributed projects.

The signing of this order once again validates the technological competitiveness of Tiger Neo 3.0 modules in Japan's distributed market. Jinko Solar will continue to provide more valuable clean energy solutions for customers in Japan and globally with its high-efficiency and reliable N-type technology products, supporting the ongoing prosperity of the distributed PV market.
