The funding, provided through a state government Collaborative Exploration Initiative grant, will support advanced geophysical survey work, including drone-based high-resolution sub-audio magnetic surveys, targeting data collection in "high-prospectivity" areas of the Mount Gordon and Dorman Fault Zones.

The survey program aims to collect approximately 170 line-kilometres of magnetic and electromagnetic data. It is designed to enhance the company's ability to detect concealed copper sulfide mineralisation ahead of planned 2026 drilling activities and advance the project towards becoming a multi-deposit copper district. Andrew Mooney, True North Copper's Managing Director and CEO, stated: "Building on the success of the 2025 Aquila discovery, this project extends our geophysically targeted approach into the Dorman and Mount Gordon Fault Zones to continue growing Mount Oxide." He added: "The data generated will directly guide the 2026 drilling program, improving targeting efficiency and increasing the potential for new discoveries."

The company is integrating the unmanned aerial vehicle and sub-audio magnetic results with existing datasets to define and prioritize high-quality drill targets. Drill testing may extend to the depth and strike of the Aquila deposit, targeting high-grade zones. Site mobilization has commenced, with drilling scheduled to begin in Q2 2026.
