en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 30th, Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of green factories and green industrial parks for 2025. Three subsidiaries of ZPMC—Port Machinery Heavy Industry, Changxing Branch, and ZPMC Offshore—were recognized as national-level "Green Factories." The awarded factories have promoted green transformation and upgrading through coordinated efforts in areas such as low-carbon energy use, efficient resource utilization, and clean production, forming replicable and scalable achievements in green manufacturing practices.

The "Green Factory" selection, led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, focuses on five core dimensions: "intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste resource recovery, and low-carbon energy use." It comprehensively evaluates enterprises' green development levels in infrastructure, management systems, energy and resource inputs, and product environmental performance, aiming to create benchmark examples for the green and low-carbon transformation of the manufacturing industry.

Port Machinery Heavy Industry focuses on core port machinery components, leveraging lean management and smart manufacturing to continuously optimize energy structures and production processes. It vigorously develops new energy products for port machinery and implements energy-saving renovation projects such as waste heat recovery from air compressors and green lighting, increasing the proportion of clean energy usage. Relying on the Internet of Things for intelligent energy consumption monitoring and real-time control, it reduces emissions from the source, driving manufacturing towards high efficiency, low carbon, and intelligence.

Changxing Branch focuses on building a national port machinery industrial cluster and was the first to introduce carbon footprint management concepts throughout the entire product lifecycle. It actively explores green design, green manufacturing, and pathways to "carbon neutrality." By constructing rooftop photovoltaic systems, promoting energy-saving renovations, and building smart factories and workshops, it systematically implements multi-factor coordinated governance, significantly enhancing green manufacturing levels and energy utilization efficiency, providing a model for the green upgrade of high-end equipment manufacturing.

ZPMC Offshore, based on its characteristics in marine engineering equipment, integrates green concepts throughout the entire process of factory construction, production, and R&D. It strengthens resource recycling and intensive land use management, vigorously optimizes energy consumption structures, builds distributed photovoltaic power stations, continuously improves the green manufacturing system, and promotes the transformation of shipbuilding and offshore equipment manufacturing towards low-carbon, intelligent, and high-end development, setting a benchmark for the industry's green and low-carbon development.

Looking ahead to the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, China Communications Construction Group will anchor its "1545" strategic goals, resolutely implement the "123456" overall policy, systematically promote high-quality "all-green" development across the entire chain, and coordinate efforts to reduce carbon emissions, cut pollution, expand green spaces, and foster growth. It aims to contribute more solid strength to achieving the "dual carbon" goals and promoting the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.
