en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian construction robotics company Luyten has opened early reservations for its latest automated construction platform, the Ascend A27. Customers can secure initial production quotas by paying a deposit before October 25, 2026, gaining priority access and launch offer eligibility, with the deposit counting toward the final purchase price.

Designed specifically for large-scale vertical construction, the platform converts traditional tower cranes into robotic construction systems capable of automated large-scale 3D concrete printing. Luyten stated that the platform integrates robotics, artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing, and machine control technologies to achieve construction automation without replacing existing tower crane infrastructure, thereby lowering the adoption barrier for automated construction technologies. The system includes autonomous construction capabilities, intelligent machine control, real-time environmental monitoring, and adaptive print management, enabling construction operations to respond to changing site conditions while maintaining build quality and operational efficiency.

Luyten noted that many of the technologies used in the Ascend A27 have been developed and validated through its Platypus construction printer portfolio, including the Platypus X12 engineering platform, which was used to test robotic control systems, motion technology, and autonomous construction capabilities before integration into the tower crane platform. The company's previous construction robotics projects include Australia's first fully 3D-printed multi-story residence and commercial deployments across five continents, which validated the technologies now used in the Ascend A27. The new platform expands the company's construction robotics portfolio from the Platypus 3D construction printer series, targeting residential and mid-sized projects, to larger-scale vertical construction applications.

Ahmed Mahil, founder and Global President of Luyten, stated that the construction industry is entering the next industrial revolution, and the development of the Ascend A27 aims to help customers lead this transformation by integrating robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing into a practical platform for large-scale vertical construction. Early reservations mark the beginning of commercial rollout, and the company will collaborate with industry leaders shaping the future of automated construction. Early reservation customers will become part of the first commercial deployment group for the Ascend A27 and will work with the company during system delivery, commissioning, operator training, and implementation as part of its global commercial rollout.
