en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 30th, Recently, for the Beitian Flood Diversion Sluice project, part of the Langouwa Flood Storage and Detention Area Construction Project (Dingxing Section) undertaken by PowerChina Municipal Construction Group Tianjin Co., Ltd., the construction team has been closely following project milestones, consolidating responsibilities, and comprehensively advancing all aspects of construction work. As a crucial component of the regional flood control system, the Beitian Flood Diversion Sluice is designed with a diversion capacity of 2,800 cubic meters per second, featuring a total of 32 openings and a combined clear width of 320 meters.

To fortify the safety production line, the project department strictly implements three-level safety education for all personnel entering the site and conducts specialized training focused on safety management systems. For critical construction processes such as sluice pier pouring, sluice gate hoisting, and hoist chamber construction, detailed construction process standards and technical parameters have been clearly defined. Currently, core processes including the sluice chamber, sluice gate hoisting, and the traffic bridge have been largely completed. The roof of the hoist chamber for sections 1-8 has been capped. Notably, the hoisting of all 32 sluice gates was completed in November 2025, with each gate measuring 10 meters wide and 4.8 meters high, achieving hoisting precision controlled at the millimeter level.
At this stage, the overall completion rate for the upstream protection section of the Beitian Flood Diversion Sluice is 50%, and 30% for the downstream protection section. The project department is currently advancing the remaining construction work, including the hoist chamber for sections 9-16, secondary structures, and the upstream and downstream protection sections. According to the plan, this flood diversion sluice will be put into operation before the flood season, providing crucial support for the flood control safety of the Daqing River Basin.
