en.Wedoany.com Reported - Fleet management technology provider Motive unveiled a suite of new hardware and AI-integrated features at the Vision 26 Technology Summit, aimed at helping fleet operators improve safety and productivity. The company launched these products on May 27, combining telematics and operational data with AI models to not only provide insights for fleet managers but also enable automated actions.

Shoaib Makani

Shoaib Makani, CEO and co-founder of Motive, stated that fleets of all types currently face operational complexity and time-consuming manual work caused by fragmented systems, which drags down productivity. He believes that "integration and automation" are the core directions to address these two widespread challenges.

Central to this product expansion is the AI Omnicam Plus, an upgraded system that achieves 360-degree visibility around the vehicle by connecting multiple cameras installed on the vehicle, including side, cargo, and rear-view cameras. An in-cab display shows the driver a comprehensive view of the vehicle's surroundings, while AI-powered alerts proactively warn drivers of road hazards and nearby pedestrians and cyclists.

Motive also introduced new features for its latest dashcam, the AI Dashcam Plus. Launched earlier this year, the product is equipped with a more powerful Qualcomm processor and can run over 30 AI models simultaneously. Nihar Gupta, Vice President of Product at Motive, announced the Collision Avoidance feature, which utilizes the dashcam's two road-facing lenses to predict the movement of nearby vehicles, pedestrians, and animals, providing earlier alerts to the driver. Other enhancements include automatic license plate recognition, AI-based speed limit sign detection, and real-time two-way talk supporting hands-free communication.

Cesar Rodriguez, Fleet Safety Manager at Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages, said the AI Dashcam Plus helps the private carrier combat fraudulent claims arising from road incidents by capturing more detailed information about the true circumstances of an accident. In the event of a collision, the wide-angle camera helps the fleet view the scene and identify potential witnesses, while the zoom lens captures license plate information, the make and model of other vehicles, and even signs of distracted driving.

On the software side, Motive introduced Atlas, an AI assistant designed to transform data into cross-platform actions. Atlas allows users to ask questions about business operations, analyze data, and initiate workflows in one place. Through new AI integration capabilities, Atlas can also connect Motive data to third-party AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT. Furthermore, Motive announced Automations, which trigger instant responses to real-time signals, such as automatically contacting a driver when a critical fault code or fatigue risk is detected, or issuing immediate fuel and idling alerts. Makani stated that this represents a significant improvement in speed and responsiveness compared to systems that still require a human to see an alert and act manually.

In workforce management, Motive launched Driver Rewards, an automated incentive program designed to boost driver engagement and retention. Enhancements to AI Coach extend automated coaching from safety to fuel usage, compliance, and equipment health.

To help fleets protect cargo, Motive introduced the Door and Environmental Sensor, a wireless device integrating cargo door sensors with temperature and humidity monitoring for trailers and box trucks. With integrated alerts, fleets can respond quickly when temperatures fall out of range or the sensor detects unauthorized door openings, preventing cargo rejection or theft.
