en.Wedoany.com Reported - SmartSens officially launched the SCC62HS, a 200-megapixel CMOS image sensor with 0.5μm pixel size for mobile phone applications, on June 2. The product is manufactured using a 55nm Stacked BSI process and is the first 200-megapixel image sensor introduced on SmartSens' domestic high-performance Stacked BSI platform.

The SCC62HS incorporates multiple patented technologies from SmartSens, delivering ultra-high resolution, high dynamic range, low noise, and fast autofocus. Its PixGain HDR technology significantly enhances dynamic range while effectively suppressing motion artifacts, achieving a maximum dynamic range of 86.3dB.

The sensor supports on-chip dual-frame fusion, which not only reduces the SoC computing load required for high dynamic range video recording but also lowers smartphone power consumption, easily supporting prolonged video recording. It is also compatible with various HDR modes, including Staggered HDR and NDOL HDR. The low-noise readout circuit technology achieves a sensitivity of 3574mV/lux*s and a minimum readout noise of 0.92e-, approximately 43.6% lower than industry products of the same specification, preventing image quality degradation in low-light environments.

The SCC62HS supports two fast autofocus modes: AllPix ADAF and Sparse PDAF. In low-light conditions, the AllPix ADAF mode can be enabled, leveraging 100% full-pixel autofocus for rapid nighttime shooting. In normal lighting environments, it can switch to Sparse PDAF mode, using 6% partial pixel phase detection to ensure accurate focusing while effectively reducing power consumption. The SCC62HS is currently available for sampling and is expected to enter mass production in the third quarter of 2026.
