en.Wedoany.com Reported - White House AI Senior Policy Advisor Sriram Krishnan announced his departure, stating plans to establish an external organization to continue influencing U.S. AI policy. In a statement on X, he said serving under President Trump was an honor.

Krishnan previously led product teams at Microsoft, Twitter, Yahoo, Facebook, and Snap, and served as a partner at Andreessen Horowitz. During Trump's second term, he was one of many tech industry figures entering government, tasked with shaping AI policy.

In his statement, Krishnan listed key public achievements during his tenure, including the administration's AI action plan, which prioritized data center construction over regulation and security. Subsequently, Trump signed several AI executive orders, one challenging state-level AI regulations, while another focusing on regulation was delayed and narrowed in scope after industry opposition. He also noted that the Trump administration supported the idea of government holding equity in major AI companies.

Krishnan mentioned that his closest collaborator over the past 18 months was investor and podcast host David Sacks. Sacks resigned earlier this year as AI and cryptocurrency czar and serves as co-chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

According to The Washington Post, Krishnan plans to establish an external organization to continue influencing Trump's AI policy. He stated that many tough issues need to be addressed together, whether regarding energy, data centers, or a clear path for Americans to experience the benefits of AI.
