en.Wedoany.com Reported - Banco do Brasil has launched the new edition of the AcademIA BB program, an enterprise training initiative in AI and data for all bank and group employees, with over 36,000 employees enrolled. This edition focuses on Generative AI (IA Generativa) and Agentic AI (IA Agêntica), with participants covering all business areas of the bank.

The program aims to popularize AI technology, viewing it as one of the pillars of the organization's digital transformation and cultural transformation. The training adopts a practical learning journey, tailoring application content to employees based on real work scenarios, differing from traditional training methods.

Marisa Reghini, Vice President of Digital Business and Technology at Banco do Brasil, stated that this training module connects strategy, technology, and people in a structured manner, transforming Generative AI and Agentic AI into practical applications for optimizing decision-making, enhancing productivity, and strengthening business impact. She noted that AcademIA BB 2026 drives a mindset shift, integrating advanced technology, human curation, governance, and strategic alignment to create real, sustainable, and responsible value for the bank and society.

The program collaborates with global technology companies such as Microsoft, Google Cloud, and IBM, which provide content, experience, and market insights aligned with current and future AI application challenges. Currently, Banco do Brasil has numerous solutions in operation, with over 12,000 agents deployed on Copilot alone, in addition to other enterprise-level assistants used in internal processes, business, and customer service.

The first edition of the AcademIA project was held in 2024 with significant results. It mobilized over 24,000 employees, with female participation exceeding 40%, and completed over 240,000 AI and data-related courses through the bank's corporate university, UniBB.

AcademIA aims to strengthen digital culture and effectively achieve efficiency gains through daily AI applications. Customized research and workshops based on Gartner indicate that systematic use of AI assistants and agents in daily work can save approximately 30% of time compared to current workloads.

The results of this strategy are already emerging. In the first quarter of 2026, Banco do Brasil recorded over 2,000 solutions, including more than 1,200 models covering traditional AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI, applied in strategic areas such as customer service, credit, risk management, and operational efficiency.

With AcademIA BB 2026, Banco do Brasil aims to continue expanding application cases and maintain its benchmark position in strategic AI application within the financial industry, closely integrating training and innovation with real impact on customers, employees, and society.
