Zoomlion stated that the factory will incorporate advanced technologies focused on intelligent, digital, and eco-friendly production methods. These will enable the creation of high-performance, premium-quality aerial work platforms with reduced carbon emissions. Alongside the manufacturing space, the site will feature a 20,000-square-meter area for testing and service operations.
Wang Yongxiang, co-president of Zoomlion, commented: “We are excited to fully leverage our newly established localised factory to provide products and services to both local and European customers with greater efficiency and convenience. This strategic move will not only enhance our operational capabilities but also strengthen our service delivery in the region.”
The project reflects Zoomlion’s intent to expand its presence in Europe by establishing a production base that meets regional demands. The facility aims to combine modern manufacturing techniques with a focus on sustainability, ensuring that the equipment produced aligns with environmental standards. The testing and service areas will support the factory’s operations, offering comprehensive facilities to maintain product quality and customer support.
Located strategically near Tatabanya, the factory benefits from the area’s role as a transportation and communication hub, facilitating efficient distribution across Hungary and beyond. The partnership with CTP underscores a collaborative approach to development, leveraging the Dutch company’s expertise in real estate to bring the project to fruition over the lease period.
This initiative marks a significant step for Zoomlion as it seeks to serve the European market more effectively. By establishing a local production site, the company aims to reduce delivery times and tailor its offerings to the needs of customers in the region. The focus on smart and sustainable technology also highlights a commitment to innovation in the construction equipment sector. With construction set to proceed under the agreed terms, the factory is poised to contribute to Zoomlion’s global operations while supporting economic activity in Hungary.
