en.Wedoany.com Reported - Fronius International has introduced the new Artis 300 welding equipment, the third model in the Artis series, capable of manual TIG welding up to 300 amperes. It is available in a water-cooled version and an extended XT version for global use. The Artis 300 integrates the functions of two compact models, supporting features such as TIG pulse welding up to 990 Hz, TAC tack welding function, spot and seam welding, trigger modes, and adjustable gas pre-flow and post-flow times. It also includes contact high-frequency arc ignition for hard-to-reach positions and is suitable for stick welding.

Michael Eisterhuber, Product Line Manager at Fronius International, stated that the new Artis 300 is an expansion of the Artis series for users with higher power requirements. The equipment is ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises involved in various stainless steel welding applications, such as pipeline maintenance, handrail installation, machine repair, or hot water tank production.

The Artis 300 features an optimized control panel design that is easy to operate even with gloves. The panel is equipped with five EasyJob buttons for saving welding parameters, along with an additional favorite button for one-touch access to background parameters, with clear current display during welding. The water-cooled version employs a stepper motor pump concept and built-in temperature sensors, with energy-saving characteristics as cooling activates only when needed. Eisterhuber explained that water-cooled equipment is preferred in higher ampere ranges due to narrower welding torch handles, but there is no quality difference between air-cooled and water-cooled systems.

The XT version of the Artis 300 supports single-phase operation up to 300 amperes, with a wide input voltage range of 200 to 600 volts, enabling global use. This equipment complements the iWave series, which is designed for aluminum welding, with iWave specifically for TIG AC/DC welding and industrial applications, suitable for automation and robotic welding, and equipped with additional features such as CycleTIG and TIG DynamicWire. The Artis series supports TIG DC welding, while iWave covers AC/DC welding needs.
