This cooperation aims to accelerate technological breakthroughs and mass production of L3 and L4 autonomous driving technologies during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, jointly promoting the popularization of intelligent mobility and contributing Chinese solutions to the global automotive industry transformation and upgrade. According to the agreement, Chery Automobile and Yinwang will jointly explore the development of autonomous driving technology, focusing on challenges in uncharted technological territories, and drive the high-quality development of the global intelligent automotive industry.

Yinwang, established in January 2024, serves as Huawei's strategic vehicle for commercialization in the intelligent automotive sector. Its business covers solutions such as Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS, vehicle control, in-vehicle optics, vehicle cloud, and HarmonySpace smart cockpit. Currently, Huawei holds 80% equity in Yinwang, while Avatr and Seres each invested 11.5 billion yuan, holding 10% stakes respectively. Chery has previously collaborated with Huawei on multiple projects, including the joint launch of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Zhijie automotive brand; its Jetour Zongheng G700 model is equipped with the Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS4 system; and the FREELANDER Shenxing, a new energy vehicle brand under the Chery-Jaguar Land Rover joint venture, has announced full adoption of the Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADSV4.1 system.
