en.Wedoany.com Reported - On the 11th, the "Smart Tech Korea (STK) 2026" exhibition held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, showcased a landscape where artificial intelligence (AI) has transitioned from concept to daily industry reality. The exhibition concentrated on technologies such as AI agents, autonomous vehicles, smart glasses, AI image generation, and AI security management, with the core theme shifting from "future prospects" to "current applications."
The Samsung SDS booth became a focal point, as the company demonstrated a voice AI customer service agent. This agent can handle the entire customer conversation process from flight booking to payment and ticket issuance. Samsung SDS stated that the AI agent executes tasks directly through voice, reducing customer wait times. Additionally, Samsung SDS showcased an AI work assistant integrating meeting content summarization, internal company data search, and schedule management functions.
Autonomous taxis have also entered the commercial service phase. Since September 2024, SWM has been operating urban RoboTaxis in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The service runs from 10 PM to 5 AM, Monday through Friday, with five autonomous taxis traveling in Gangnam-gu and Seocho-gu. SWM stated that when hailing a ride via KakaoT, if a RoboTaxi is available, the app displays a "Seoul Autonomous Vehicle" option. A source revealed that the service has been used over 10,000 times cumulatively, maintaining an accident-free record for two years. Currently, under South Korean regulations, a safety manager accompanies operations to ensure safety.

The generative AI field also showcased deep applications. AI content platform company Carat launched a service that generates images and videos from text input alone, already serving over 300 clients, including broadcasters and public institutions. UnderMili released "Maloha," a real-time AI translation service linked with video conferencing platforms, enabling real-time voice translation on platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet, requiring only the meeting creator to install the program.
The exhibition site revealed that most technologies are being adopted in enterprise settings before reaching ordinary consumers. AI customer service, AI work assistants, real-time translation, and industrial site management solutions have become tools for enhancing production efficiency. Among business visitors were companies considering adopting generative AI and vendors planning to develop their own AI services, consulting on how to apply AI to production processes. A representative from a small-to-medium enterprise operating a washing machine factory consulted at the Nota AI booth about using AI to improve production efficiency.
In a speech during the Global Conference session, Jeon Jin-soo, CEO of Boldstep, pointed out that today's teenagers and people in their twenties are consulting AI for life or career advice, and even conversing with AI as if it were a lover. The AI presented at the exhibition can now autonomously execute tasks, replace human communication, and drive on real roads, marking the full penetration of AI technology into industrial sites and daily business environments.
