en.Wedoany.com Reported - Sopra Steria and Red Hat have expanded their strategic partnership to industrialize the deployment of sovereign-ready embedded artificial intelligence (AI) from data centers to field devices, announced on June 15, 2026, in Paris.

Unveiled on the opening day of the Eurosatory exhibition, the initiative targets environments where AI is hardest to deploy and most critical, such as defense systems, public services, and key infrastructure. These scenarios require continued operation during connectivity disruptions and full control over data and models.

For Sopra Steria, this marks the company's first industrialized edge solution built entirely on open standards. As a European company rooted in critical systems and regulated industries, Sopra Steria aims to help organizations transition from experimental prototypes to production-scale intelligent applications.

Many organizations have achieved initial AI successes, but moving from proof-of-concept to reliable field deployment remains a major challenge. Red Hat provides open building blocks, while Sopra Steria integrates, secures, and operates them as deployable, certified field systems. The initiative consolidates the entire AI lifecycle into a hybrid cloud environment: Red Hat OpenShift AI for centralized model training and lifecycle management, Red Hat Device Edge for running lightweight models on highly constrained field devices, and Red Hat Edge Manager for automated maintenance and updates across large device fleets, including those operating under degraded or intermittent connectivity.

The partnership offers an industrialized lifecycle for edge applications, enabling faster processing and operational continuity when local decision-making is required. Use cases include real-time anomaly detection and accelerated predictive routing algorithms in transportation and fleet logistics; secure data filtering and instant diagnostics on public terminal infrastructure; and distributed AI inference deployment on low-power field devices and constrained hardware environments in regulated communications and signal processing scenarios. At the core of the partnership is an end-to-end automated AI factory pipeline built on Red Hat technologies and running on a consistent hybrid cloud environment.
