en.Wedoany.com Reported - Samsung Electronics announced on the 18th that it has partnered with modular housing company Space Maker to launch "Samsung AI Modular Homes," officially entering the single-family modular construction market. The company opened a related showroom this month in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The showroom consists of two units measuring 330 square meters and 66 square meters, integrating Samsung Electronics' AI home appliances and SmartThings-based AI home solutions into modular wooden homes.

Modular homes are built with over 80% of components prefabricated in factories and assembled on-site, offering short construction periods, consistent quality, and reduced construction waste. Samsung equips and registers home appliances and AI home solutions during the manufacturing stage, allowing consumers to use AI home services immediately upon occupancy without additional setup.
Users can choose AI home appliances such as air conditioners, heat pump boilers, refrigerators, and TVs based on space usage, as well as over 20 SmartThings-connected devices including smart lighting, home cameras, and door cameras.

Samsung Electronics plans to start with single-family homes and expand the scope to mid-to-high-rise buildings of four stories or more in the future. Yang Hye-soon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances Business, stated that the company will provide a new living experience by integrating AI home appliances and solutions from the residential planning stage.
