en.Wedoany.com Reported - C.H. Robinson has launched what it claims is the first artificial intelligence technology for shippers' global supply chain operations, which continuously evaluates supply chain performance and proposes improvement measures.
The technology is now deployed among C.H. Robinson's 4PL management solution customers. The newly introduced Lean AI Engineer works in tandem with the Lean AI Planner to form a unified system, reportedly uniquely enhancing supply chain operations.
Jordan Kass, President of Management Solutions, stated that the breakthrough of this technology lies in its closed-loop artificial intelligence system. The system runs continuously, improves processes, and self-corrects when failures occur, without requiring human intervention to first identify issues. The Lean AI Planner handles real-time execution, while the Lean AI Engineer studies results, identifies patterns, adjusts logic, and influences future decisions.
According to reports, the Lean AI Engineer can evaluate the entire supply chain within 25 to 30 minutes and determine improvement measures before performance is impacted. Traditional supply chain assessments typically take up to four weeks and are often retrospective rather than predictive. While the Lean AI Engineer provides intelligence, the Lean AI Planner manages freight through hundreds of interconnected AI agents, feeding more data back to the Lean AI Engineer to optimize decisions. This technology autonomously handles 92% of global 4PL freight, covering order creation, bidding, route planning, delivery, exception handling, and carrier payments, involving trucking, ocean, air, and rail transport.
