en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 26, 2026, the new factory of Innomotics (Tianjin) Drive Technology Co., Ltd. (ILM) officially commenced production. This facility is Innomotics' most comprehensive R&D and manufacturing base for high-voltage motors and high-power low-voltage motors outside of Germany. Located in the Beichen Economic and Technological Development Zone in Tianjin, the new factory involves a total investment of approximately RMB 600 million and was built under a "government-built customized factory, enterprise move-in ready" model.

Dr. Thomas Wünsche, Executive Chairman of Innomotics, stated that the energy transition and low-carbon development are accelerating the reshaping of the global industrial landscape, creating opportunities for the large-scale application of high-efficiency motors and large drive systems. The completion of the new Tianjin factory will help customers seize market opportunities and also reflects the essence of the Sino-German partnership.

The new factory is a benchmark facility integrating digitalization, lean production, and green practices. Through digital empowerment and lean production processes, it has achieved a 20% increase in production efficiency. Targeting net-zero emissions in manufacturing by 2045, the new factory has an annual production capacity of 2500 MW. On the day production began, the new SH800 series asynchronous motor rolled off the line simultaneously. The product matrix has been further expanded, adding new product lines such as marine generators and data center generators, meeting market demands for larger sizes, heavier tonnages, higher power, and greater precision.

On the R&D front, the Chinese team balances local innovation with global collaboration, and its R&D results can provide proven technical pathways for upgrading Innomotics' global product lines. On the manufacturing front, production capabilities are coordinated with R&D capabilities, focusing on "large, specialized, and innovative" products to penetrate the high-end motor market and serve a broader global customer base.

The new factory is equipped with an automated testing center capable of meeting the testing requirements for 35 MW motors. In customer projects, high-efficiency explosion-proof motors have already been used in Saudi Arabia's clean energy power plants, and marine motors have helped Chinese companies achieve breakthroughs in ultra-deepwater fields at depths of 2,000 meters.

Headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany, Innomotics operates in 49 countries worldwide, with 17 factories, approximately 15,000 employees globally, and annual revenue exceeding €3 billion.
