São Paulo sold 9,993 new homes in May, with total sales of R$5.7 billion

en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to the Secovi-SP Real Estate Market Survey (PMI), a total of 9,993 new residential units were sold in São Paulo in May.

In the 12 months ending May 2026, São Paulo sold a cumulative total of 114,800 new residential units. The total sales value (VGV, Valor Global de Vendas) for the month reached R$5.7 billion, with a 12-month cumulative total of R$60.2 billion. These figures have been updated based on the FGV's National Construction Cost Index (INCC-DI) as of May 2026. The sales-to-offer ratio (VSO, Vendas Sobre Oferta), which measures the proportion of sold units to total available units, stood at 10.1% in May, with a 12-month VSO of 55.9%.

The survey also shows that 13,130 new residential units were launched in São Paulo in May, with a 12-month cumulative total of 144,700 units. As of the end of May 2026, 88,800 units were available for sale. This supply includes off-plan, under-construction, and completed units (inventory) launched over the past 36 months (June 2023 to May 2026). The total supply value (VGO, Valor Global da Oferta) for the month reached R$66.4 billion, updated based on the FGV's INCC-DI as of May 2026.

By region, the South Zone led in launches, accounting for 50% (6,603 units); sales accounted for 34% (3,373 units); it had the largest final supply, at 35% (31,062 units); and VGO accounted for 38% (R$25.2 billion). The highest VGV was recorded in the West Zone, accounting for 39% (R$2.2 billion). The highest VSO was in the East Zone (11.1%).
