en.Wedoany.com Reported - Emirates plans to operate nine daily Airbus A380 flights to London in December, indicating the airline's optimistic outlook for a full recovery of the London market by the end of the year. The last time Emirates deployed nine daily A380 flights to London was in December 2025.
The airline serves three airports in London but only uses the A380 for flights to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW). According to flight schedule data from aviation analytics firm Cirium, Emirates' flights to Gatwick will increase in December. Currently, the airline operates eight daily ultra-large aircraft, with six flights to Heathrow and two to Gatwick, supplemented by one Boeing 777-300ER flight.

In addition to Heathrow and Gatwick, the airline also operates two daily flights to London Stansted Airport (STN), both using Boeing 777 aircraft. Overall, Emirates operates 12 daily flights across its three London destinations.
The UK is one of the airline's most important markets. Emirates operates flights to eight destinations in the UK. Among these, the airline serves five UK destinations with its A380 fleet, often supplemented by additional flights operated by smaller aircraft. The three destinations without any A380 service include London Stansted, Newcastle, and Edinburgh.

Due to its hub-and-spoke business model, Emirates operates from its Dubai hub; flights to and from the UK are strategically scheduled to provide optimal connections with flights to and from other key markets in Asia and Oceania.
Heathrow Airport has the highest number of A380 aircraft globally. The airport receives service from six of the world's ten A380 operators, including British Airways, Emirates, Etihad, Qantas, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines. Other operators such as Korean Air and Asiana Airlines have deployed the aircraft to Heathrow during peak seasons. Previously, Malaysian Airlines and Thai Airways also used the aircraft for flights to the airport.
