en.Wedoany.com Reported - Qatar Airways has confirmed that 13 destinations from Doha's Hamad International Airport (DOH) will remain suspended, with flights originally scheduled to resume in September this year now postponed to at least March 2027.
This suspension list is part of the airline's weekly schedule changes submitted to agencies such as Cirium Diio and OAG, reflecting the situation as of July 6. Among them, flights to seven destinations are planned to resume at the end of March or early April, which is related to the switch to the summer schedule on March 28 for northern airlines, including Qatar Airways. The remaining six routes currently have no resumption plans, such as Hamburg Airport (HAM), which has not seen the airline's operations since March this year.
The detailed list shows that six routes—Doha to Djibouti (continuing to Mogadishu), Hamburg, Kano (combined with Abuja, which still has flights), Mogadishu (via Djibouti), Sofia, and Venice—currently have no resumption plans. Flights from Doha to Qassim are scheduled to resume on March 28, 2027, with three weekly A320ceo services. Qatar Airways has been flying to Mogadishu's Aden Adde International Airport (MGQ) since 2019, with most flights operating via Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport (JIB) in both directions and enjoying fifth freedom rights. This route is typically served by the 132-seat Airbus A320ceo, with three weekly flights. Based on booking data from April 2025 to March 2026, over 17,000 MGQ passengers transited through Doha to other destinations, with the most popular markets including London, Oslo, Cairo, Bangkok, Hyderabad, Lahore, Amsterdam, Dubai, Copenhagen, and Beijing.
