en.Wedoany.com Reported - Argentina's Terminal Zárate has commenced operations for a new container shipping service by Mercosul Line, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group.

The service, named the Puma route, provides weekly connections between the Port of Zárate in Buenos Aires Province and the Port of Santos, with onward access to the Far East, Middle East, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico regions. The port rotation sequence is Zárate, Rosario, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Imbituba, and Santos.
This new route joins the existing portfolio of container shipping services at Terminal Zárate. According to the terminal, other operational services include: a direct service to Northern Europe provided by the Grimaldi Group, connecting to the East African coast and the Far East; a service by A.P. Moller – Maersk covering Brazil with connections to global destinations; a service by MSC connecting via Brazil to other international ports; routes to the Far East, Northern Europe, and the Gulf of Mexico offered by Ocean Network Express; and a service by Hapag-Lloyd AG transshipping through Montevideo to various destinations.
