en.Wedoany.com Reported - To advance the "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project" and meet the green upgrade needs of industrial parks in villages and towns, the "PV-Storage-Charging-Distribution Integrated Microgrid" project in Shisi Village, Tanzhou Town, Zhongshan City, has been officially connected to the energy-carbon management platform managed by Southern Kaineng (Guangdong) Electric Power Group Co., Ltd. and put into operation. This project is the first park-level demonstration project in Zhongshan City that centers on a digital energy-carbon management platform, integrating intelligent microgrid autonomy with virtual power plant market trading. It explores a new power system construction model characterized by "energy-carbon management as the core, intelligent microgrid as the foundation, and virtual power plant as the carrier."

Shisi Village, Tanzhou Town, has completed a distributed PV project with a total installed capacity of 2.8 MW, supplemented by energy storage, fast and slow charging piles, and intelligent power distribution equipment, forming a complete "PV-storage-charging-distribution" microgrid system. Before the renovation, various energy devices in the park operated independently with scattered data, leading to issues such as inefficient dispatch, lack of carbon control, and difficulty in monetizing resources through the market. Through deep collaboration between the energy-carbon management platform and the virtual power plant, the project effectively addresses industry challenges in the management, dispatch, and trading of distributed energy resources.

As the core of the project, the energy-carbon management platform leverages the Internet of Things, big data, and intelligent algorithms to achieve 24-hour real-time monitoring, data aggregation, and digital modeling of energy equipment in the park, enabling precise management of energy and carbon assets. Internally, the platform dynamically dispatches green power consumption and energy storage charging/discharging to achieve peak shaving and valley filling, reducing electricity costs for enterprises. Externally, the virtual power plant aggregates scattered energy assets into a dispatchable resource pool, participating in electricity market trading to enable small-scale energy assets to appreciate and monetize. Taking an industrial park with stable loads as an example, an enterprise providing 8,000 square meters of rooftop space can configure 1 MW of PV and a 1,000 kVA transformer. Through local PV consumption and coordinated energy storage regulation, investment in distribution capacity expansion can be reduced by approximately 600,000 yuan, lowering transformer configuration requirements. Adopting a full lifecycle managed operation and maintenance model is expected to save 20% on electricity expenses. By connecting to the virtual power plant via the energy-carbon management platform and participating in demand response and ancillary services, estimated revenue is about 200,000 yuan. The total comprehensive revenue over the project's full lifecycle is approximately 5 million yuan.

This project establishes an integrated system of "platform coordination + microgrid autonomy + virtual trading," breaking away from the traditional PV-storage-charging project pitfall of "emphasizing hardware while neglecting digitalization." It provides a replicable solution for the large-scale, digital, and low-carbon development of distributed energy in village and town industrial parks.

Southern Kaineng Electric Power Group stated that in the next step, it will continue to iteratively upgrade the functions of the energy-carbon management platform, expand the scale of new energy integration, deepen the integration of energy-carbon management with electricity marketization, empower the effective implementation of the "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project," and contribute to the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of urban and rural areas in Zhongshan.
