en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 13, the metal roof construction of Fengdu North Station on the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, undertaken by China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau, was fully completed, marking the station's entry into the stages of curtain wall installation, interior decoration, and electromechanical equipment installation.
The station building of Fengdu North Station covers a floor area of 11,998.97 square meters, adopting a 66.6-meter by 107.7-meter orthogonal four-way pyramid space truss structure with a total weight of 525 tons and an overall lifting height of 17.84 meters, posing significant challenges in high-altitude construction and stringent waterproofing precision. The roof uses a standing seam aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy system with multi-layer vapor barrier, insulation, and anti-seepage structures, offering advantages such as lightweight seismic resistance, wind durability, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The architectural lines integrate the landscape and cultural features of Fengdu, shaping a modern passenger station image in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.
During the construction phase, the project department utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) for pre-layout 3D modeling, developing specialized control plans for key nodes such as curved panel splicing, gutter closures, and skylight sealing. To address challenges like high-altitude cross-operations and rainy mountainous construction, a zoned grid-based flow construction method was implemented, with continuous structural dynamic monitoring throughout the process, efficiently completing the entire roof panel installation, waterproofing, and edge finishing workflows.
Fengdu North Station features a yard scale of 2 platforms and 4 lines, with an integrated transportation hub enabling convenient transfers between high-speed rail, buses, and taxis. The Chongqing-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway is designed for a speed of 350 km/h, reducing travel time from Fengdu to downtown Chongqing to within 40 minutes. As a key node of the Yangtze River high-speed railway, it will connect the urban clusters of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, driving the quality development of local cultural tourism and commercial industries.
