en.Wedoany.com Reported - Halliburton has been awarded a multi-year contract by Saudi Aramco to provide integrated stimulation and completion services for unconventional gas development in Saudi Arabia.

The contract is part of a broader multi-billion-dollar agreement involving one of the world's largest unconventional gas development projects. Under the agreement, Halliburton will continue to collaborate with Aramco on its unconventional gas program.

Halliburton currently provides a range of drilling and completion services for unconventional gas fields in Saudi Arabia, employing an integrated service model designed to support intensive development and enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

As part of the new plan, Halliburton will introduce automation technologies for real-time optimization of fracturing operations. These systems are designed to achieve higher digital integration and efficiency, covering multiple wellsite operations.

Operational activities have already commenced in the Jafurah Basin. To support these efforts, Halliburton plans to increase its investment in local manufacturing in Saudi Arabia to strengthen the supply chain and develop the local workforce.

Rami Yassine, President of Halliburton's Eastern Hemisphere, stated that the contract award highlights the company's long-term partnership with Aramco and builds on over 80 years of operations in the Kingdom, while advancing the country's unconventional gas development. He noted that starting in the third quarter of 2026, Halliburton will deploy the Kingdom's first fully integrated intelligent fracturing platform through OCTIV Auto Frac and Sensori fracturing monitoring services, contributing asset value to one of the world's largest unconventional gas fields.

Last month, Halliburton also secured another contract to provide integrated drilling and completion services for the GranMorgu deepwater oil development project, located approximately 150 kilometers off the coast of Suriname. The long-term agreement includes the use of digital and automated execution models, aimed at connecting planning, engineering, and operations for offshore projects.
