en.Wedoany.com Reported - Seatrium Offshore Renewable Services (ORS) has commenced the transformation of an industrial site in Lowestoft, once renowned for serving the oil and gas industry and the construction of offshore structures for wind farms.

Located on Hamilton Road in Lowestoft, the site has seen welders, electricians, sheet metal workers, painters, and sandblasting experts build giant platforms and other structures for the North Sea over the past 60 years. Seatrium ORS, a Lowestoft-based offshore service provider formerly known as Sembmarine SLP and originally SLP Engineering, is transforming this plot into a new strategic hub to support its expanding operations in the UK and Europe.
Seatrium ORS, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Seatrium Limited, has established its landmark new building in the northern port and dock area of Lowestoft's PowerPark, further cementing the town's role as a key hub in the UK's clean energy sector. The new site will support approximately 100 employees, with plans to recruit an additional 30 to 40 staff as part of the company's long-term growth strategy in offshore renewable energy. The company currently employs over 70 offshore contractors and subcontractors and plans to expand its offshore team. Construction is expected to take one year.
