en.Wedoany.com Reported - Moscow Cable Metal Group (Mosкабельмет) has launched a comprehensive hardware and software system for real-time continuous monitoring of key parameters in the cable manufacturing process.
This solution is part of Moscow's efforts to enhance process automation and introduce high-tech systems in its industry. The Moscow city government plans to have half of the products manufactured by local factories associated with innovation by 2030. Anatoly Garbuzov stated that the emergence of such integrated systems marks a new phase in the digital transformation of the industry, helping to strengthen manufacturers' positions in both domestic and international markets. The results are planned to be submitted to the Moscow "Technology Bank," which has already gathered about 620 advanced solutions aimed at creating a unified technology catalog for integration and application by other enterprises.
The system can control the insulation thickness at specified points of the cable, analyze the geometric shape of the billet surface, quickly identify deviations from required parameters, while reducing equipment setup time and minimizing scrap rates.
All data is synchronized with the production line and displayed to the operator via a dedicated interface. The system can perform inspections with an accuracy of 0.05 mm across the entire circumference of the product, executing 360 measurements per revolution of the scanning device.
The hardware and software complex includes a measurement unit equipped with three measuring heads (for full circumference inspection), a data processing unit, accompanying cables, operational documentation, as well as a work computer and monitor for the operator. This configuration allows it to be implemented directly on existing production lines without requiring large-scale modifications to infrastructure.
The solution offers enterprises several strategic advantages: improved product quality stability, reduced equipment changeover time, lower scrap rates, and decreased dependence on imports.
Pavel Moryakov, General Director of Moscow Cable Metal Group, noted that the creation of the "AROKIS" system represents a significant advancement not only for the company but also for the entire cable industry. Russian manufacturers have thus gained a modern quality control tool that can replace foreign alternatives. The results are planned to be submitted to the "Technology Bank," which has already included over a dozen solutions from "Mositlab." Domestic engineering solutions are capable of successfully addressing the most complex production tasks.
