en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian mining company Harvest Gold (TSX-V: HVG) has initiated a 4,000-meter diamond drilling program this weekend at its flagship Mosseau project in Quebec, targeting the Kiask River mineralized corridor in central Mosseau.
Harvest Gold stated that this fully funded 2026 program is expected to complete approximately 20 drill holes. The corridor yielded a gold discovery in February 2026, including a 1.15-meter intercept grading 105 grams per tonne gold (Au). The drilling aims to expand known mineralization and test structural and geophysical targets generated by recent exploration.
CEO Rick Mark noted that this drilling will build on the discovery while enhancing the company's understanding of the gold system. The technical team has developed compelling drill targets with the potential to significantly expand the Kiask River mineralized corridor and deepen knowledge of this emerging gold system.
Harvest Gold has awarded the drilling contract to Quebec-based Forage Val d'Or, which operates hydraulic skid-mounted and helicopter-portable drill rigs. The contractor established a partnership on June 19 with Mawi of Lac Simon, serving as its exclusive Indigenous partner for mineral exploration drilling activities. Mark stated that this arrangement reflects Harvest Gold's commitment to Indigenous participation and collaboration with local communities as exploration progresses.
Mosseau is part of Harvest Gold's Urban Barry portfolio, which includes 443 mineral claims covering 23,740 hectares across the Mosseau, Urban-Barry, and LaBelle projects. These three claim blocks span over 50 kilometers of favorable strike length along mineralized shear zones, located 45 to 70 kilometers west of Gold Fields' Windfall deposit.
