en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 18, the Jiangsu Provincial Solid-State Transformer Industry Alliance Establishment and Solid-State Transformer Industry Innovation and Development Conference, guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and hosted by the Changzhou Municipal People's Government, was grandly held in Changzhou, known as the "World Transformer Capital" and "New Energy Capital." The conference brought together nearly 400 participants, including academicians, experts, government and enterprise representatives, universities, and industry chain enterprises. At the meeting, the Jiangsu Provincial Solid-State Transformer Industry Alliance was officially inaugurated as the first provincial-level solid-state transformer industry alliance in China. Concurrently, the "Jiangsu Provincial Solid-State Transformer Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan" was released. Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Trina Solar") officially joined the alliance and was elected as a vice chairman unit.

Solid-state transformers (SST) are strategic frontier power equipment supporting new power systems and adapting to AI computing infrastructure. They have been included in the national catalog of key promoted energy-saving power equipment and are core critical components bridging green power supply and AI computing demand.Industry institutions predict that SST will enter a sustained high-prosperity cycle, with the global all-scenario market size expected to exceed 1.2 trillion yuan by 2030. The AI data center segment alone has a long-term potential of nearly 200 billion yuan, demonstrating strong growth certainty and significant value increment, making it a high-growth niche segment closely watched by capital markets. The newly established Jiangsu Provincial Solid-State Transformer Industry Alliance brings together 78 member units, including leading solid-state transformer manufacturers in the province, upstream and downstream component suppliers, top national power universities and research institutes, grid operators, AI data center application units, and industry associations, forming a complete "government-industry-academia-research-application" collaborative ecosystem. The alliance will coordinate provincial innovation resources, focusing on joint research to address shortcomings in core materials, power devices, and complete system integration for solid-state transformers. It will accelerate the implementation and standard setting of core technologies such as SST, promoting technological breakthroughs, achievement transformation, scenario application, and industrial collaboration to achieve broader open sharing and mutual benefit.

Trina Solar's election as a vice chairman unit of the alliance marks a significant milestone in the company's deep engagement in the computing-power collaboration track and its comprehensive transformation into a full-domain energy infrastructure solution provider for AI data centers (AIDC). Trina Solar Chairman Gao Jifan has clearly stated that the company is advancing toward large-scale implementation of computing-power collaboration and zero-carbon industrial park scenarios, striving to become a leader in the smart energy and computing-power collaboration industry.

As a vice chairman unit of the alliance, Trina Solar will leverage Changzhou's nationally leading transformer industry foundation and the advantages of the complete new energy industry chain. Using the alliance as a collaborative link and the real application needs of AIDC as an innovation driver, Trina Solar will integrate its strengths in photovoltaics, grid-forming energy storage, system solutions, project development, global channels, and delivery capabilities into the alliance's collaborative system. Together with industry chain partners, it will conduct joint research on SST key materials, core devices, complete systems, and scenario applications, accelerating the transition of related technologies from R&D and validation to demonstration application and large-scale deployment. This will help Changzhou accelerate the development of a solid-state transformer industry hub with national influence and international competitiveness, contributing more Trina Solar strength to the nation's efforts in building a modern industrial system, establishing a new power system, and promoting high-quality development.
