en.Wedoany.com Reported - Emaldo, a Nordic smart energy solutions provider, has partnered with Bixia, a Swedish renewable electricity supplier and balance responsible party, to expand access to ancillary service markets and help its Grid Rewards customers generate higher returns from home battery systems.

The collaboration combines dynamic electricity pricing with Emaldo's energy storage and grid reward program, which compensates customers for lending their battery capacity to help balance the grid. According to Emaldo, its customers currently earn over one million euros (1.14 million USD) per month through this program, depending on market conditions.

Alasdair Firth, Chief Product Officer at Emaldo, stated that the company has over 80 megawatts of installed residential capacity in Sweden, and the partnership with Bixia helps better serve its customer base. Accessing one of the broadest portfolios of ancillary services in the Swedish market means unlocking new Grid Rewards opportunities for customers.

Stefan Takac, Head of Business Unit at Bixia, said the two companies aim to "create better opportunities for customers to reduce electricity bills, maximize the value of their battery systems, while contributing to a more flexible and sustainable energy system."

Founded in Denmark in 2022, Emaldo has installed over 12,000 systems across its markets, with a controllable capacity exceeding 150 megawatts. Bixia was founded in 1997, has served as a balance responsible party for Swedish grid operator Svenska kraftnät since 1999, and trades directly on the Nordic power exchange Nord Pool.
