en.Wedoany.com Reported - Compañía Minera Antapaccay in Peru announced that all its in-service fixed cranes (117 units) have passed international safety standard certification, achieving a 100% certification rate. This milestone results from a phased plan implemented between 2022 and 2026, covering technical diagnostics, structural improvements, electrical system modernization, and the introduction of safety operation technology certifications such as radio remote control.

The 117 units are distributed across four key locations: 68 at the Antapaccay plant, 34 at the Tintaya plant, 10 at the mine maintenance department, and 5 at the oxide plant, ensuring full coverage of the company's crane operations and critical operational processes.

All equipment complies with international standards including ASME B30, CMAA, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 55001, and OHSAS. The certification was conducted by SGS, a professional technical audit company, ensuring strict compliance in terms of operability, maintenance, and structural safety.

Dercy Soto, Plant Maintenance Manager, stated: "This achievement reflects practices aligned with reliable and safe production operations, positioning Antapaccay as a benchmark in the large-scale mining industry for achieving 100% crane certification. Going forward, our challenge is to maintain this management level across all plants."

According to the company, the full availability of these equipment directly reduces risks in crane operations and protects personnel safety, based on preventive maintenance plans, critical spare parts management, and the continuous application of systematic audits. Through this milestone, Antapaccay further strengthens its commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and sustainable asset management, aligning with international standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
